The purpose of this tutorial is to provide some gameplay tips to your l4d experience. Let me be clear that I am in no way the best l4d coop player. I get alot of grief from players becasue my personal rule is (I never heal myself) Team always comes before me.

I learn everytime I play. Every player is diiferent in the way they play. I spend some time in the first map of a campaign evaluating new players. I do this because I am a picky player and I have little tolerance for those who do not follow the rules of FirebaseOne Servers. I play the way the game developers intended for success of a game. I am flexible and I consider myself fair when I play with strangers. I don't set up Friends-Only lobby's because the only way to meet that Great player is to do public lobby's. That's how I build my Friends Newtwork. Thank you for taking the time to read this information. I think it will be helpfull...

Tips -

  • Close all the doors when you can. Most of the time the hordes spawnn in closed areas.
  • Stay together. I cannot stress the importance of this.
  • when you are in close quarters, ditch that long rifle and grab a shotgun.
  • Keep an eye on your Teams health. Just tossing some pills to a teammate can make all the difference in a campaign.
  • Bait the undead (advance and sit a few seconds) They become easy to eliminate.
  • Time your gunfire when the undead are advancing. When they are all rushing, pick them off in sequence to proximity.
  • Clear the area before advancing. If you do advance ahead of the Team, Let everyone no you are taking point. Close the doors as you pass them and your Team can mop-up the rooms as they come up behind you.
  • When a Teammate gets vomited on by a Boomer, Get over to help them and shove the undead and melee until all is clear to proceed. If you get vomited on, move back and put something against your back like a wall. Shove and melee them. Shoving them and pushing them is better that just shooting randomly when you cannot see. Chances are a Teammate is helping you and you cant see them.
  • Pushing the undead as they approach is a good way to set up your gun fire control.
